Damn, another year comes to an end, time flies so fast. It feels like just yesterday 2013 had begun. To be honest I was quite skeptical about the year 2013, due to the number 13. Oh no I’m not superstitious at all, but you know that teensy bit of creepiness and nervousness was there.
It was quite a smooth year I would say. Lot of positives and alot of negatives took place. Lets begin with the negatives.
So many famous personalities have passed away this year, to begin with Farooque Sheikh, Richard Griffiths, Margaret Thatcher, Paul Walker, Cory Monteith, Jiah Khan, Marcia Wallace and many others. Alot of negative events such as the IPL spot-fixing case, Sanjay Dutt being jailed, India bringing in a law against Gayism, the continuing civil war in Syria, growing instability in East Asia and other worldly events. However, there have been some positives too, such as the G20 summit which was held, a gradual improvement in the global economy worldwide, Tendulkar and Dravids retirement which has been a proud and glorious moment for India as we review their success over the years, and Dubai winning the Expo 2020 🙂
This year may not have been very productive, but it has been a very satisfying year for me spiritually. Have learnt alot from the life events which have occurred this year. I hope 2014 is a wonderful year, and looking forward to the new years eve celebrations, hoping that the new year will be as joyous ahead.
Any new year resolutions anyone? Do share 🙂
Wishing you all a very Happy, Joyous and a Prosperous 2014!
